Responsibilities

Job Description:

Under direct supervision, performs basic image processing and QA/QC. The Geospatial Processing Intern will develop and work with a variety of data products including but not limited to: Uncorrected imagery, Ortho-rectified, image/raster mosaics, Digital elevation models, Lidar datasets, Multi-band image products, Vector data, and GPS navigation data.

 

Analyst will be trained on and work with a variety of commercial and proprietary software including but  not limited to: ESRI GIS Software, QGIS, Inertial Explorer, FTP Client Software, Summit Database (Proprietary), Geoproc (Proprietary ),  Aeroptic Boresite (Proprietary), Ml  Software Suite (Proprietary)

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Completed or pursuing a Bachelor's degree in remote sensing, geography, cartography, planning, computer science, or closely related field with emphases in Remote sensing or GIS preferred.
  • Minimum of one year experience in the application of Remote Sensing/GIS/GPS technology.
  • Knowledge of digital image processing, geography, concepts of spatial analysis, computer programming, land management, map design, and coordinate geometry.
