    The Development Lab Infrastructure engineering team supports all customer/system specific development areas inside the Distributed Common Ground Station-Army Family of Systems including DCGS-A Fixed (DFI/DFB), DCGS-A v3, CDSS (RTGS, TCSP/CSA, TTC), DE-AA, DE-SS, CHARCS, ENFIRE, DTSS, CI-OPS, IWS, and DG2.0. As a part of this team, your work efforts will contribute to the maintenance of the mixed-use data centers and standalone development environments supporting integrations, testing, and cyber security of the DCGS-A family of products. Bottom line our goal is to enhance system security while not impeding performance of the services that deliver new IT solutions to the U.S. Army.



    As a DCGS-A System Administrator, you will work as an extension of the development support team and identify, research, and implement a full RMF approach in addition to performing security scanning within an environment both for physical and virtual infrastructure.  Specifically, you will:


    • Load and configure baselines, train current software baselines, assist with hardware evaluations, as well as evaluations of new developed software prior to formal IV&V testing.
    • Assist the system specific development teams with loading of software baselines on current and future hardware.
    • Troubleshoot HBSS product issues and outages
    • Maintain system patches and patch compliance with tools such as WSUS, YUM, SCCM and Puppet
    • Coordinate with software developers to implement Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) changes that apply to the DCGS-A family of system baselines
    • Support security risk analysis, mitigation, evaluation, and reporting in support of IA C&A processes
    • Research and analyze DoD and Department of the Army (DA) policies to mitigate implementation problems that may impact the ACAS implementation
    • Develop draft ACAS sustainment support documentation for updating and utilization of current and future DCGS-A architectures, change control, configuration management, and operations procedures
    • Assist the system specific development teams with the development of documentation for software installs on multiple hardware baselines and provide back to the lab manager


    Minimum Qualifications

    • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other Engineering or Technical discipline and 5 years of professional work experience is required (No Degree Substitution).
    • At least 1 year of experience with either DCGS-A v3 or another DCGS-A family system
    • At least 2 years' experience installing, configuring, administering and operating Tenable Security Center and Nessus Scanner, known as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) in the DoD environment
    • Must be knowledgeable with the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and all assessment, authorization policies, and directives (i.e., DoDI 8510.01) for RMF
    • Implement HBSS migration/compliance strategy
    • Demonstrated experience with virtualization in a DoD environment
    • Solid understanding of Microsoft, Linux, or Solaris operating systems and networking
    • Knowledge and experience in working with Firewalls
    • Knowledge and experience in working with Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS)
    • Familiarity with the DIACAP program
    • Working knowledge of storage systems and automation
    • Understanding of networking technologies
    • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certified (baseline security certification i.e. CompTIA Security+ce) and (technical computing environment training or certification i.e. Server+) prior to start of work
    • TS/SCI required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • CCENT or CCNA Networking Certifications
    • DCGS-A V3.X FSE / FSR Course
    • Demonstrated experience with software developers or Lab Management operations
    • Knowledge and experience in working with the McAfee Management for Optimized Virtual Environments (MOVE) AntiVirus for virtual desktops and servers
    • Demonstrated skills and expertise in the following technologies: SQL/XSQL Server Administrator (SA), Microsoft O/S and security, Information Assurance (IA), IP Data Networking and Vulnerability Assessment product engineering and design, IP network vulnerability scanner Tier 3 support, REM 3.X / Retina 5.X and greater, ACAS Security Center 4.X / Nessus 5.X or greater and HP Tenable Nessus products.
