Join our enterprise technology engineering team responsible for the enterprise infrastructure of a mixed use data center supporting integrations, testing, and cyber security of the DCGS-A family of products. The IT Team is responsible for supporting the SEC lab manager’s 4 physical labs, 8 live networks, 2 live development networks, and 8 closed development networks. In the IT team we design and implement enterprise infrastructure that increases scalability and performance of the services that support our SEC integration and development organization.



As the infrastructure engineer, you will be part of the team that designs and develops infrastructure to further evolve the Web Oriented Architecture enabling continuous improvement of DCGS-A products.  Specifically, you will:

  • Provide modern Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) support for the integrations organization.
  • Operate in a highly virtualized environment working with VMware vSphere (5.0, 5.1, 5.5, 6.0, and 6.5), vRealize suite 7 (VCSA, vSAN, NSX, vRA, vRO, vLI, vBIZ) and Openstack. 
  • Continuously enhance existing enterprise automation environments and streamline provisioning of resources to the end customer.
  • Assist with creating, maintaining, and improving the enterprise HW/SW inventories to DoD RMF requirements
  • Assist with creating, maintaining, and improving the enterprise Visio diagrams to DoD RMF requirements
  • Assist with creating, maintaining, and improving hardware and infrastructure systems primarily consisting of standalone Dell servers and SANs, CISCO UCS compute, Netapp storage, and CISCO networking.
  • Research, selection and implementation of enterprise physical, virtualization and storage solutions in support of ITMP and ITAS Waivers.
  • Manage and monitor from an IT perspective the accreditation packages of each enterprise as the primary POC to the SEC cyber security team. 


Minimum Qualifications

  • A Technical Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience is required. (No substitution for degree)
  • At least 1 year of experience leading an IT enterprise or development lab team
  • At least 1 year of experience with either VMware vSphere (5.5, 6.0, and 6.5), or vRealize suite 7 (VCSA, vSAN, NSX, vRA, vRO, vLI, vBIZ), or Openstack
  • Must be capable of interacting with contract PMO, Government stakeholders, team members, and system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements / designs.
  • Must be capable of performing enterprise engineering functions including: conceptualization, design, implementation, and optimization of at least one primary technology (personal subject matter expertise on a technology). 
  • Must be experienced in assessing evolving customer needs, translating those needs into enterprise changes through network/system reconfiguration, hardware and software acquisitions, installation and test. 
  • Must be knowledgeable in the application of current and emerging enterprise software and hardware technology and protocols. 
  • Proficient in solving engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned. 
  • Must be self-starter, willing to take complete ownership of complex technical problems
  • Should be able to think clearly and articulate with appropriate level of abstraction his/her thought process on complex technological issues
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT level II baseline security certification (i.e. Security+CE)
  • Active TS-SCI Clearance  

Preferred Qualifications

  • DoD 8570 Fully Compliant with formal Computing Environment certification (i.e. CCNA, CCNP, VCP-CTA, VCP-DCV, VCP-NX, Microsoft, Linux, ect.)
  • Experience with complex VMware Virtual Standard Switch (vSS) and virtual Distributed Switch (vDS) topologies
  • Experience with PMI Matrixed Management of resources to accomplish tasks across functional areas.
  • Experience with CISCO UCS / Flexpod™
  • Direct experience with networking multiple storage technologies working in tandem i.e NETAPP, Hitachi, and flash based SAN.
